I have been confined to my room with a stomach virus all day today, so, I will continue with the Isaiah 55 posts tomorrow. However, today I want to share an interesting statistic that I came across.
TWO per cent of adults command more than half of the world’s [tag]wealth[/tag], while the bottom 50 per cent possesses just 1 per cent, according to a United Nations development institute study.

To be honest, this statistic is scary. I have told my students on more than one occasion that if they sleep in a warm bed with a roof over their head, then they are richer than the large majority of the world. For some reason this is all too easy to forget in the US.
Also, I came across this website that I highly recommend checking out. You can input your yearly [tag]income[/tag] and see where you rank amoung the world’s richest people. The scary thing here is that the average teacher makes around $46,752 (article) which puts the average teacher among the top 1.21% of the richest people in the world.
