		<description>recently i looked closer at the story of abraham in genesis 12. i actually backed up a bit to the very end of genesis 11. it describes abraham&#039;s father, terah, setting out for the land of canaan... (sound familiar??) and then it says: &quot;and they went as far as Haran, and settled there....and Terah died in Haran.&quot;  and then we move into chapter 12 with the &quot;famous&quot; calling of abraham...  

terah forfeited God&#039;s plan for his life by settling at the halfway marker. 

i don&#039;t want God to have to use someone else because i decided to set up camp where i shouldn&#039;t have...</description>
