Everything is Spiritual: Sidewalks

I like sidewalks. They keep you out of traffic and mostly out of harms way (Atlanta drivers still might get ya). They almost always lead from one place to another and are a great means of transportation via your feet, which is good exercise.
But, have you ever noticed those sidewalks that run in front of those little suburban neighborhoods? You know the kind, the neighborhood that is tucked away on some back road and as you drive by it you wonder who wants to live out there, so far removed from every purchasing opportunity. When driving by those neighborhoods have you ever noticed that they tend to have sidewalks in front of them that come out of the neighborhood, only those sidewalks dead end at a pile of dirt or something? That just seems odd to me, a sidewalk that will lead you out of the neighborhood and then nowhere.
I guess that’s the spiritual connection. We are all on a path (or sidewalk), and we need to make sure that it leads us somewhere. Otherwise when we get to where we are going we might find that we walked all that way just to hang out at a pile of dirt.
