I’m just now watching yesterday’s American Idol on Tivo followed by tonight’s episode and what really strikes me is the raw emotion the show captures on film. I really wish the people of the Church would be this real.

Imagine if we really exposed our raw emotion. Imagine if we exposed our very soul to one another. What kind of community would that create?

I know it sounds crazy, but shaving is a great time to hear from God. I actually have a good friend that seems to connect with God best while shaving. He once told me that sometimes when he has something big to pray through he will go and shave, even if he had already shaved that day.

I think this is a great time to connect with God mostly because it is quiet. Our world is crazy, busy and loud 27/7, so we have to take every quiet moment as an opportunity to hear from Him.
