My guilty pleasure: early episodes of Idol
I admit it, I love to watch the early episodes of American Idol. There is just something about seeing people that have so thoroughly lied to themselves that they actually believe they are good singers and are willing to give it a go in front of America. Its nuts. I mean, most of the people on the early shows are really aweful, sometimes makes be prefer the nails and chalkboard.
At times I hide my eyes, at times I laugh, sometimes I’m touched, but usually I just sit in mild amusement. I know that laughing at these people is probably mean, and some Bible thumper out there is probably shaking his head thinking “that’s not what Jesus would do” and he may be right. But I just can’t help myself, delusional people willing to make a fool out of themselves is just good television. It just is.

Ya know it makes me think if normal people can make a fool of themself, when why don’t christians do that to share the Gospel?!
